Pregnancy tracker: Week 18

Size of baby: Sweet potato

Total Weight gain: 5-5.5 lbs

Maternity Clothes: Not very often...just wearing my pants unbuttoned or stretchy clothes:)

Stretch marks: no

Sleep: Baby D has been waking up more often again...last night he woke up every two hours! Hoping its just a short phase caused by teething or something. It's because I said he was doing better I'm sure. Anyways I'm sleepy:)

Food cravings: Fruit, any type of potato, and pickles.

Symptoms: Feeling plenty of movement and my belly had a growth spurt:)

Best moment this week: Mason got to feel baby girl move! Not just a tiny kick, but she saved up a few good ones just for daddy! He was pretty excited at how strong she was lol.

Gender: girl

Movement: Just this week her movements have became easily noticeable. I definitely feel her several times everyday. I don't remember feeling Breyton this well at 18 weeks(or Mason feeling him till 19 weeks), but that was awhile ago:) Also, I know it has to do with baby's positioning and in ultrasounds the tech said she was facing up and had her face snuggled right towards my belly...so that puts her hands and feet right next to the outside making movements felt easier I'm sure!

What I miss: Nothing really...though we have a lake trip coming up and I'm definitely going to miss water skiing this summer!

What I'm looking forward to: Just enjoying being pregnant:)

Rainy day fun and random pics from this week.

Rainy day fun today:) What a week it has been full of storms and rain. Such a devastating week for so many and it causes the rest of us undoubtedly to be more thankful for what we do have! We of course need rain so as always I try to enjoy it....but must admit B and I are aching for a day of pool weather again soon. I know there will be plenty of those this summer though!

Breyton, baby D, and I were reading a book about 'rabbits rainy day' and the rabbit made a paper sack mask, so B asked to make one. Here is his very quickly made mask lol....he was so excited to put it on and kept saying, " Daddy is really gonna like this scary mask."

Of course he had to try to eat his pb and j while wearing the mask still.

This photo was from the other day. Breyton has one of the biggest craziest imaginations. I wish I could even write down all the ideas he comes up with. Anyways, this day he decided to be a dog and wanted me to give him a box and make a dog bed....complete with requesting I get him a bowl of cheerios for 'dog food' and a bowl of water. Then he took it all out on the porch. I am really surprised DHS has not been called on us while living in these apartments(this being one of many seemingly suspicious occasions)....because we had a child caged on our porch with bowls of food for part of afternoon.

Lastly, here is B's awana club group from church. This was the last night at the awards ceremony.

B did not really want to cooperate that night because he mostly just wanted to sit with mommy....but he did go up on stage to receive his completion certificate. My little boy is getting big!

Our daughters name.

We have decided on a name for our daughter. I shortly debated waiting till birth to officially announce her name, but its already just who she is...so I'd prefer to be able to openly call her by it:)
We have had 2 names picked out for a girl way before we started trying 2 years ago...funny thing is THE name is neither of those!

Originally the choices were:
Emberlynn Rayne Long
Or
Linley Eve Long

Thought I'd include other runners up(mostly for a middle name option only) because it will be fun to look back on:)...Eden, Everlyse, Eve, Sterling, Skye, Laekyn, Bree, and Blair.

Anyways my hubby is Mr. Opinionated when it comes to names...he would be fine naming her without my input I think lol. He is pretty much the reason for the change. He was researching names 'just to be sure' and came home one day with the name Lyla. I took a little persuading to give up my other names...Then I prayed to ask God to guide us to her name and He gave me 3 signs that this was supposed to be her name:) (1)Through a dream, (2) a devotional I read, and (3) my husband. Actually pretty cute how much Mason wanted this name. Obviously I fell in love with this new name though...or it wouldn't be her name:)

Therefore Lyla Grace Long will be here in October.

That's the short end of how 'Lyla' came to be.....also to clarify its (Lie-la) not (Lay-la). I think the spelling is pretty obvious, but since you can't here me speaking it thought I'd clarify haha.

Then 'Grace' is a Latin word obviously referring to God's unmerited favor. Grace is an undeserved gift from God..a blessing. The name is special after two losses we are beyond thankful for gift of this little girls life. She is already a blessing so big we could never do anything to deserve.

Lyla, your biggest brother loves to come over to my belly often and yell "Hello baby seester!" He has also been coloring pictures for you (and your brother) that decorate our fridge. Your daddy and I talk to you often and pray for you everyday. I know you can already hear all the chaos you will be joining~on the outside~this fall.

We are so excited to meet you Lyla Grace! Though for now please stay baking in mommy's belly till October:)

.......Oh and here is the beautiful pictures Breyton colored: one for D, one for Lyla, and one for himself. (Had to blur out D's name~on the page B had me write all their names out on). I feel so blessed everytime I look at my fridge:)...covered with these pictures and Lyla's ultrasound pics.

A 'bad mom' moment and B talk.

Yesterday we are playing outside and all the sudden Breyton runs over crying saying a bug flew into his eye. He is rather hysterical, but I just think that it hurts from the bug hitting his eye..not that big of a deal, right? I finally get him to let me see his eye and I don't see anything. He is still crying so I gave him a wet cloth to rub his eye with to see if that helps.

Oh, 30 minutes later he still has me looking in his eye saying 'the bug is still in there!' over and over! I'm pulling gently on his eyelid and looking all around and don't see a thing wrong. At this point I think he is just being overly dramatic and tell him repeatedly his eye is fine and it may just hurt for a bit.

About 2 HOURS later...

He is still complaining and we are sitting there and he is rubbing his eye and out comes a FLY. A baby fly nonetheless, but there was seriously a bug apparently hidden under his eye lid that finally came out.

Needless to say I felt like a terrible mom because I didn't really believe him and his eye was red the remainder of the day.

Poor fella.

A lessened learned for this momma.

In other more funny news Breyton has been saying his usual random stuff:

In an attempt to get baby D in trouble Breyton said to me, "Mom you know how 'shut-up' is a bad word and bad guys say it on tv?.....well D has been saying it all day."

Really son?

Though funny sometimes...at the end of age 3 is when I'm learning that lying comes in full force. Hoping as B learns what a lie is and that it is serious we can cut some of this out...because currently he lies about everything..all day.

Then I've been sick today B was playing in his room for a few when I walks in there he immediately said, "I didn't do anything!".

I still have not figured out what he did wrong that he was hiding...or maybe
he really didn't do anything for once:)

That kid literally drives me crazy somedays, but at the end of the day I love him with my whole heart. They do always look like angels when sleeping though:)
Now I'm heading to bed praying I can get some rest through all this congestion and sneezing!

Night.

Framing of our house!!!...and Mother's day pics:)

We drove out to the house this past weekend and the frame for all our walls is up! Exciting to see some more progress. Next they should be framing up the roof I believe. Here is the 3 boys sort of in front of B and D's bedroom. The boys lookin cute in their hard hats of course:)

                              View from the street.

Ok on to Mother's day pics.....here is me and all 3 of my babies!

My babies daddy and I ;)

Here is the boys playing with Mason's old hot wheels at Grammy's house.

Oh, and here is Breyton giving rolly polly's a ride on the semi trucks....I know they were thrilled!

Pregnancy tracker: week 17

I was going to do a front facing picture every now and again to see the difference...but my hubby snaps a pic real quick and almost every time I'm covering the chalkboard up. You think after about 10 weeks of pictures we'd have this figured out lol. I always take the pic in a hurry and don't look at it till later, so this is what I get:)

Size of baby: An onion! My uterus is now the size of a cantaloupe though and I can clearly see that bulge!

Total Weight gain: 4.5 lbs

Maternity Clothes: Wearing them more and more! Though I have plenty of regular clothes I know will fit throughout the remaining months.

Stretch marks: no

Sleep: A little better this week..finally!
Baby D slept through the entire night twice and the other nights he only woke up once. Big improvement!

Food cravings: Fruit and lemons again. Cereal, ice cream, and sour candy have also been some must haves this week.

Symptoms: Had some nausea again this week just a little, but other than that my only symptoms are my growing belly and feeling some kicks!

Best moment this week: Heard our daughters heartbeat going strong at my checkup with my midwife! 154 bpm this week.

Gender: Girl

Movement: Beginning of this week I didn't feel much probably because I rarely ever get to sit still to try and feel her move...but end of this week I've been feeling real kicks(or punches) lol. Her movements are getting much easier to feel and at least once a day I feel some pretty good kicks now.

What I miss: Nothing

What I'm looking forward to: I suppose our next and possibly last ultrasound is at 20 weeks and feeling more and more movement is always on the list.

This week my mom gave me my great granny Carter's apron. She was an amazing woman who no one seems to have anything bad to say about her. She had 13 kids and lived in a little bitty house. Including twins-that is my grandma and her sister. I suppose I admire her for that alone:) When I was little we would drive out to see her and she would have her kids, grandkids, and great grandkids over on Sunday's and would cook everyone a meal in her tiny kitchen. I barely remember her, but an apron she hand made holds special memories of a godly women who left a great legacy that her family remembers.....oh, and she was an amazing cook!

Pregnancy tracker: 16 weeks

Total Weight gain: 3.5 lbs

Maternity Clothes: On occasion. Not a necessity still...I can wear plenty of my regular clothes, but I need to use my belly band for most of my regular pants!

Stretch marks: no

Sleep: My sickness has carried over some..still have my cough and congestion. Bleh.

Food cravings: Fruit and mexican food as always:) I've been able to eat pretty normally again..just whatever sounds good. No huge aversions this week.

Symptoms: My belly has grown! A small challenge trying to figure out a comfy way to feed baby D his bottle around the ever growing bump! Lol

Best moment this week: Most definitely finding out the gender and just watching our daughter move around was amazing!

Gender: GIRL!!!

Movement: Still light movements here and there. Ready for her kicks to become stronger:) though I know I will be feeling some tough kicks and punches soon enough!

What I miss: nothing

House progress and pool fun!

There has been quite a bit of rain since we signed on to build a house, so not tons of progress to report just yet...but we aren't complaining because I know we need the rain. Hopefully they will make up lost time during the dry summer:) I wouldn't even mind delays except for the ticking clock of this little girls due date...I just would love to be moved BEFORE she is born.

They have the 'stem wall' down as of Tuesday and the foundation is the next step. Now we can at least get a good visual of where our house sits on the plot.

In other exciting news the apartment pool opened up and we had so much fun there yesterday...of course today is in the 40's. Soon it's going to plenty warm for the pool everyday so we will enjoy this last cold spurt. At least I hope this is the last cold front in the 40's till fall:)

Breyton and the other little boys there did not mind the cold water at all they all dived right in!

Baby D and I mostly just stuck our toes in at first...Breyton made sure we got plenty wet by the end of it all of course!

I have another water baby though! D loves the water just like Breyton always has and really liked playing in the fountains.

                                        All smiles:)
