Pregnancy tracker: Week 37

Chalkboard is back!

Size of baby: Winter melon

Total Weight gain: Weight gain has been kind of slowing down. Not sure why bc my appetite has not slowed down! Still at about 22lbs for my total thus far.

Maternity Clothes: I'm having trouble finding clothes that still fit this week! Shirts are short on covering the belly and baby is so low anything remotely snug feels uncomfortable. Almost there though! Lots of skirts, dresses, and sweatpants till then:)

Stretch marks: Still no new ones!

Sleep: I get up to pee a minimum of 3 times a night. No matter what! Limiting liquids before bed, etc does not change it. Also my hips have been either having shooting pain or going numb at night..I have to switch sides about every hour to relieve it. Didn't have that with Breyton!

Food cravings: Fruit..not picky this week. Anything sounds good:)

Symptoms: Still having Braxton hicks and now past day or two been having what feels like menstrual cramping as well. Found out I'm 2cm dilated at my appt last week!
She said baby was very low and that she could feel her head sitting right in my pelvis. No wonder I can't sit or lay with my legs together lol. I'm glad I have made some progress, but I was dilated at 4cm for a week before Breyton came...so doesn't tell me much:)

Best moment this week: I keep having dreams about going into labor or Lyla being here already...makes me so ready! Best moment this week though was having one last date night with the hubby before she arrives. We had so much fun! Also, trying to cherish this time with my 3 boys before our family is forever changed!

Gender: Girl

Movement: Still staying fairly active and has the hiccups all the time still!

What I miss: Getting to that point where I'm ready for her to be her now! I'm a little sad that this is probably my last time to experience pregnancy, but so desperately ready to see and hold her! I know it's best that she stays till closer to 38-39 weeks...so trying to be patient:))

What I'm looking forward to: We have definitely been doing major nesting around here! No deep cleaning can compare to moving lol. I've now washed every curtain, pillow, rug, etc and any other washable item in this house. Everything is deep cleaned...the hard part is keeping up with all the daily stuff. Just looking forward to meeting her now!!! It's all I think about and waiting to going into labor is always exciting....kind of love the anticipation!

Got the basinett all washed and set up this week as well! Just need a baby to put in it:)

Oh and I'm giving myself points because I managed to get a few freezer meals done before Lyla arrives! Our lives are going to be so chaotic with 3 littles ones, so having just a few meals pre made will help some! Completed two lasagna pans and chicken enchiladas...depending how long little miss stays in there I may get some more done.

Pumpkin patch fun this week as well:) The cutest photos are of the boys together, so I'm bummed I can't share them!

A pumpkin comparison of the belly:)

Being a boy Breyton definitely wanted a pic by the 'warty' pumpkins.

Pregnancy tracker: Week 36

Been working hard and organizing this house all day finally taking a break to rest and catch up!

Pics from a beautiful evening on the back porch.....so much gorgeous weather lately!
                    Growing belly!:)

Size of baby: Honeydew melon

Total Weight gain: 21.5 lbs

Maternity Clothes: Mostly anything stretchy!

Stretch marks: Still no new ones!

Sleep: You know just getting up to pee all night and usually up once with one of the boys for some reason or another!

Food cravings: Fruit. Not really picky this week....about anything sounds good:)

Symptoms: Practice contractions are becoming more frequent. Never anything consistent to make me even think its possibly labor.....plus my water broke with Breyton out of nowhere when the time came then after that contractions kicked in. I just keep thinking that will happen again, but I guess I better prepare for anything!

Best moment this week: Making it another week closer to the finish line! Next week is considered full term and I'll never take for granted having a healthy pregnancy and full term baby....just feel blessed!

Gender: Girl

Movement: Still rolling around....always sticking her bum, elbow, or foot out.....she's still head down though which is great!

What I miss: I'm still feeling pretty good and have energy most of the time....but I miss my body being mine again! lol Though in a sense it's a loong time before that happens really because with breastfeeding you are sharing yourself for a while longer haha, so probably about a year from now! At least the need to pee every 5 seconds and all the weird aches and pains will subside sooner than that:)

What I'm looking forward to: We finally got out car up for sell this week! Really hoping it sells in the next few weeks, so we can get a vehicle with a 3rd row! Also, the obvious of looking forward to this little girl being here. I didn't remember how bad baby fever can get while your pregnant! I just stare at Breytons newborn pics, or the little clothes, or other peoples newborns haha. All these hormones make it easy to forget how exhausting and emotionally tiring the newborn days are:)

Sooo close to meeting Lyla...and a baby D update.

Two more days and I'll be 37 weeks...full term.

Hard to believe! I could obviously have 3-4 more weeks to go if Lyla stayed cooking as loooong as she possibly could. However, considering that Breyton was born at 38 weeks, how often I'm having Braxton hicks, and other tell tell signs I would guess labor is no too far off. My husband still has this Saturday, 28th, as his pick for when she comes. I think that's a tad too early, so I'm sticking with the following week closer to the 5th. I'm sure we are both wrong haha, but we will see:))

No matter what we are getting close!!!!

I've had the opportunity to see two newborns this week and got to hold a close friends little girl last night. She was less than a week old and no matter how many times you are around newborns you never ever get over how tiny they are.

Breyton loved her and was a little upset or curious as to why she got to come out before Lyla lol.

I just can't wait to be holding and snuggling Lyla! The newborn phase is so completely exhausting, but I really hope to take it all in bc quite possibly my last time.

Anyways, finally got all of Lyla's things washed and her few things packed in the hospital bag! (Wish I could say the same for my stuff:) Man her outfits are sooo cute though! I wish a picture could do justice of how stinkin itty bitty they are. Even though they are newborn size if she is like her brother then they will still swallow her at first. Packed 3 options just incase.. The 'Lil sis Lyla' outfit was made by my friend and I just looove it! Then the little cupcake pants are so precious and lastly just a super soft comfy warm sleeper if weather is cooler.

Our house is coming together though! I feel like the state it is in is livable....and will make do because I know once we have a newborn (on top of the two ornery boys) then nothing is going to get done for awhile.

Since we can't fit our 3 carseats in our car..well technically we can we just cant close the doors...details details haha. Anyways, we finally had the chance to put our car up for sale on Saturday. We had someone come look at it tonight...but no offer. Praying very hard it sells this week~if its meant to be~then we can get a car with a 3rd row in the nick of time before baby girl gets here! That would be such a blessing. Otherwise one of our parents will have to drive the boys home from hospital and I'll be staying home pretty much until our car does sell lol!

Mason had training all today though and the lady was coming to see car when he got home, so I got to spend literally all day detailing and washing our car to get it ready to show. Just thankful that didn't put me into labor;)

What's left is needing the car to sell, a basinett or something for her to sleep in our room, and to finish packing my bag. I guess if she came early and those things still aren't done then we will make due! I'm done stressing about it all.

We are at the one year mark of when we lost our second baby last year and I will never forget that devastation. What a timely indescribable gift we are being given this year. Therefore all I really want is our baby girl to arrive safely in the next few weeks!

Lastly, on a different note I have not updated about baby D's status in awhile and that's because I have not had much to say! People have been asking though.

His bio mom is still in rehab and doing quite well there it seems. Not even sure how that makes me feel...so I can't tell you what I'm thinking.

On a positive we got a new caseworker who is appearing to be quite awesome. There was really no where to go but up from our last deadbeat one...but I'm really excited to have a new lady who seems eager to do whats best for the kids and just actually do her job.

The next court date is still October 24th..which should be interesting adding the newborn in the mix before then. I don't know what to expect on that date and don't know what to expect from mom in general. What we get to do is keep on loving mister D, praying hard, and wait, wait, wait. When (if ever) there is real news I'll update you with what I can!

All I know is God is good and he does have a plan. A complete mystery to me, but I can trust he will reveal it to me when the time is right.

Maternity pictures!

Finally squeezed in some maternity pics with Danielle Nicole Photography amongst all the business. Took these about 2 weeks back right before we closed on the new house....all the pictures are taken at the new house though and in our yard! Danielle did a good job considering we didn't have a very cooperative crowd that day lol. It was pretty hot outside still and the boys wanted to play not take pictures.

Here are the ones I can post that don't include baby D in them of course!

                                                        Door way of house.

Breyton is such an excited big brother when he wants to be:) Today he said, " I have a question!" ((His all time favorite phrase right now)) Then he said, " When Lyla gets here are you gonna gasp and say she's soo cuuutte? Because that's what I'm gonna say."

The boy's room!

Another room is pretty much done! Checking them off one by one:)  We are having the boys share a room so we can still have a guest/play room. Though Breyton loves it!! For now anyways:) All we have left here is to few things on the wall and this sign on the door:

Here is pics of the room as is now....

Lyla's nursery!

Lyla's nursery is pretty much complete! I enjoyed putting this room together more than any other room in the house:) Feels like a fairy tale room and so fun seeing it all come together.  All we have left is to put her name above the crib and few more wall décor we have not yet put up. I can't wait to watch her grow in this space!

All of it done(including big furniture) on a pretty reasonable budget of about $375...I spent more than that on Breyton's crib alone last time! I was definitely more thrifty this time around!
•Crib $20 on Craigslist
  Rocker/glider $140
•Ruffled crib skirt $29
•Ruffled curtains 2 @ $19 each
•Crib bumper $15
•Pom poms above crib were DIY @ $1 a piece
•Paint for room and furniture-$68
•Vanity(Craigslist and then I repainted it)   $75
•Mini modge podge dresser- Free(my birthday present)
•Wall decor either DIY, found at garage sales, or my moms consignment shop for pretty dirt cheap and re-painted!

Here is pics of her room:

Seemed fitting to place the angel wings over where I will rock, nurse, and pray over her at night.

Cutest little fabric modge podge dresser....love the vintage look!

A few of her itty bitty cute shoes she's already collected:)

This antique vanity was such a steal....love how it turned out!

                                                                Ruffles, ruffles!

My sis in law and I had our double baby shower yesterday and it was such a blessing!!! I have soo much stuff to sort through for baby girl. Her closet is already close to full thanks to peoples generosity... and I have a huge sack of clothes that someone gave me to look through still. Lots clothes to wash and hang....if any body is bored you are welcome to come over and hang tiny cute baby girl clothes:)) haha. Anyways starting to feel prepared for a baby. On this weeks to do list is still a hospital bag!!!
Here is her closet so far!

Pics from the shower...

Cake was adorable and so yummy! Been eating leftovers of it today:)

Just a few short weeks left:))
