Pregnancy tracker: Week 35

Baby feels like she is soo low. I think my gap between my boobs and belly has became bigger, so thinking she has dropped.

Below is the hubby and I at the state fair with the family. I'm feeling like I'm about to pop and did plenty of walking...I just want to at least make it to 37 weeks and she can come anytime after:) That's just next Thursday though!

Size of baby: Coconut

Total Weight gain: 21 lbs

Maternity Clothes: All my shirts are about too short this week lol. Leaving me with few outfit options it seems. Almost there though!

Stretch marks: Thankfully still no new ones!

Sleep: Baby D has officially been sleeping through the night some this week! We've had 5 nights of no wakes up for him.........now if only I could get my 4 year old to sleep all night again! Breyton has still been calling for me at least twice a night. I suppose he's adjusting to new room/new house. Not to mention how often I have to get up to pee! I already know I'll be getting up with multiple kids all this fall/winter, so I better just stay used to it!

Food cravings: Fruit, sandwiches, cereal, pasta salad, and fresh garden tomatoes where on this weeks menu a lot!

Symptoms: Braxton hicks still and I can just tell my body has started preparing for labor! Plus those Charlie horses or leg cramps that plague the last few weeks are here! Wake up everynight and practically have to jump out of bed at 9 months pregnant to relieve the pain.

Best moment this week: Had a checkup with my midwife and everything looks great still! Very thankful for a smooth pregnancy. Hard to believe I've started the weekly appointments and that I probably only have about 2-3 to go!

Gender: Girl

Movement: Plenty of movement! She is still head down(yay!) I know from the hiccups and where her feet/knees are felt. Plus my midwife can feel her head down low when she measures my belly....no checks for dilation yet, but wouldn't be surprised if I have started! I was at 4cm 80% effaced by 37 weeks with Breyton.

What I miss: All my clothes actually fitting!

What I'm looking forward to: It's getting really real that I'm going to be having a daughter soon. Breyton was born at 38 weeks, so realizing I may have 2-3 weeks left is pretty crazy! I chose to have an all natural unmedicated birth with Breyton and plan to do the same this time around. I joked I'm not sure which time is scarier....going into to it with Breyton not knowing what to expect or doing it again knowing wayyy too much:) All in all I'm actually getting pretty excited about labor/birth--despite the terrible pain I know is unevitable--there is nothing that quite compares with getting to meet/hold your baby for first time. I had a pretty quick labor with B(total time of labor was 4 hrs---though got to the hospital a little after midnight and he was born at 2:30am)and I'm hoping for the same this time around:)) Very excited to be delivering with a midwife this time and feel even more confident about everything. For now I'm gonna attempt to focus on enjoying the last few weeks of being pregnant and try to get things prepared to meet miss Lyla Grace!

First few days in our home!

Random pics from this week!

Had a delicious spread at our closing on the house! Took a pic too document after B and I had already filled our plates;)

First 'meal' in the new house. Consisted of us eating sandwiches on the floor in the kitchen.

My first real meal I cooked was about 5 nights in lol. Stir fry and fried rice!

All sitting down to eat at the table Mason built! We only have one bench up here. He has another one he has finished, but we are working on refinishing some chairs to bring up as well.

Baby D and I sitting on back porch during a quick break.
Then Breyton joined us on our break with some toys. I look forward to spending a lot of time out here and excited to have a fire pit this fall to roast on!

Breyton was Mason's shadow during the moving process. He wanted to help daddy do everything. He actually ended up being a big help(when he was in a good mood lol). He carried in lots of things and helped take it out of boxes.
He of course wanted to help hang some things and double check that Mason did it level;)

While big bro helped out around house baby D squeezed in some good naps! Love checking on this sweet snuggly little guy.

All in all its been a whirlwind of a week, but we are blessed to be in the new house getting settled. Mason, baby D, and I all took turns being sick this week, but all seem to be feeling better now. Hopefully Breyton has escaped his turn! Everyone is adjusting to the new layout and its strange having so much space after being in an apartment. Baby D has been sleeping wonderfully....now the 4 year old is keeping us up! Hopefully he just needs a week or so to get used to having a new room because it would be nice to have them both sleep well at night for a few weeks before Lyla arrives! We have lots left to organize, however, the necessities are in place thanks to some help from family and a crazy few days. The rest will fall into place at a much slower pace I'm sure! We will get there though:)

Pregnancy tracker: Week 34

Well we are in our new home this week! Hard to believe its finally really here. Lots of work left to do, but things are coming together. Feels good to finally be back in a house and able to start preparing for Lyla. Her room is looking good, but I need to pack a hospital bag sometime, write thank you notes, and buy diapers!! We currently have like two packs and niether are newborn size. Definitely behind on stocking up. Also, a minor detail we have yet to address is that we have no way to transport our 3 little blessings! We can NOT fit 3 carseats across in our current crossover without spending $$ on new narrower carseats...and even with doing that it will be a very tight squeeze and probably not the best set up. We really need to sell our car and get something with a 3rd row. However we only have one car, so we'd need to sell it and already have a replacement ready. Anyways, a little stressful being potentially a few weeks out and mode of transportation up in the air! The jump from 2 to 3 little kids is a big one:)

Anyways still no chalkboard pic....but I have 2 photos from my maternity session with Danielle Nicole Photography! Excited to see the rest:)

Size of baby: Butternut squash

Total Weight gain: 20 lbs

Maternity Clothes: Here and there!

Stretch marks: None except for the one small one by my belly button ring still...

Sleep: I have been sick this week with cold/congestion:( Therefore makes any sleeping very miserable!

Food cravings: Fruit. That is my one consistent craving. Every single day/week of this pregnancy that is something that always sounds good. Also, had a lot of Mexican food this week!

Symptoms: Braxton hicks, feeling the weight of carrying her, and pressure! People usually think I have 'dropped'...I've carried kinda low the whole time though, so kind of hard to say.

Best moment this week: Moving into our new house finally! Been over 6 months in the waiting and we are so excited. Of course Lyla's room was about the first thing I started working on. It's been a week full of constant hard work, but things are starting to get in place somewhat. Oh, had my church baby shower this week as well which is always fun!

Gender: Girl

Movement: Still an active little girl. Though this week has been, so busy I haven't had the opportunity to sit and enjoy her move as much!

What I miss: This week...sleep!!! And being able to breathe through my nose.

What I'm looking forward to: Started washing her little clothes and trying to prepare for her arrival. Looking forward to being more settled in the house and meeting my daughter for the first time!!

Sneak peak of Lyla's nursery! Will post more pics soon!

Pic of all the preggo girls @ my shower. We are in order of due dates from left to right. Lots of babies coming the next few months:)

Random pic from baby shower set up:)

I have one other baby shower for family/friends in Shawnee and its a double shower with my sis-in-law who is due 2.5 weeks after me! Can't wait!!!

Pregnancy tracker: Week 38

Size of baby: Pumpkin...fitting for October:)

Total Weight gain: 21-22lbs -Still not gaining weight hardly supposed to be trying to up my protein intake.

Maternity Clothes: Yes maternity pants or stretchy skirts!

Stretch marks: None this week.

Sleep: MISERABLE. I have seriously not slept more than 4 hrs pretty much every night this week. Baby D has been sick first with a cold/congestion then diahrea for 5 day/nights! I've felt so bad for him:( Then in between I get woke up every night when mason comes in about 1:30am, plus getting up to pee, and my crazy hip problem that keeps me uncomfortable.

Food cravings: Fruit, sandwiches, pretty much anything. I've been in a cooking mood this week and have made some pretty delicious meals...told hubby to enjoy since there won't be a whole lot of that while I have a newborn.

Symptoms: Been a very uncomfortable week. Lots of pre labor discomforts-contractions, cramping, back pain. Midwife did not check dilation this week so can't say how I've progressed..doesn't really matter bc baby will come when she wants! My belly is measuring behind still at 37 weeks, so no growth in 2 weeks according to them. Midwife said she is not concerned yet unless I make it to my next appt with no growth. Hopefully it's just bc Lyla has 'dropped' throwing off measurements or just petite.
Lastly, I'm not really a moody/hormonal pregnant person..usually just happy...UNTIL this week lol. Guess better than being that way the whole 9 months:) Anyways, I've cried too many times to count this week about anything and everything. I woke up at 1 am sobbing uncontrollably for an hour in the middle of the night. My husband thinks I'm losing it and so do I! Ha

Best moment this week: Trying to focus on having a healthy baby in my arms even if it takes longer than I wish..she will just be extra healthy by cooking a little longer.

Gender: Girl

Movement: Movement was slowing down the end of this week...Until last night she was crazy between 10pm and 4 am. Everytime I got up she was moving a lot! I do think she is running out of room by 39 weeks and she is really pushing out with her movements. Still hiccups daily, but not as often.

What I miss: Lots of things...I mean about my body, sleeping comfortably, etc. Even though you don't get to sleep much with a newborn at least your not miserably uncomfortable while awake all night!

What I'm looking forward to: Seeing my daughters face for the first time, holding her, newborn scent:) Can't wait!

We officially have green grass. New countdown on closing day!

Some friends of ours gave us their boxes since they just finished moving...therefore  our entire living room is full of chaos:) The boxes were neatly stacked, but when you have a 1yr old and 4yr old who love boxes this is what happens! Baby D was trying to crawl through the maze of boxes haha. I've since picked them up again bc I can't handle that big of mess too long!!

Breyton and I have started packing though and we will be alllll week. Moving out day is still this Saturday...closing on the house is delayed till September 6th though. We will be living at our parents about an hour away for a week. Praying closing does not get delayed even more because I'm too excited/anxious to wait any longer than that. 11 more days!

We still go out to the house about everyday to see what's been accomplished and just spend a little time there:) There are definitely so close to being done if they can just wrap up all these last minute details of course!

Anyways, today they laid sod so we officially have a green yard and grass to run around barefoot in!

We also took Breyton and baby D to their (4 & 1 year) checkups at the doctor today. First time taking two kids to get shots at the same time. Let me tell you that is no fun! I just thought taking a newborn/baby to get shots was bad...nothing compared to a 4 yr old! I had a knot in my stomach the whole time leading up to it bc Breyton kept asking questions about what they were gonna do next:/ He was having such a good time doing all the other stuff it was hard to let him down at the end of course! At this age they can remember very good and he will be milking this for days I'm sure:)

It's hard to believe next time we go to that doctor it will be for Lyla's newborn checkup! Managing 3 kids there should be quite fun haha. Can't wait though!

Neither can Breyton..he is tired of waiting on her lol. Almost every picture Breyton draws he says to save it for Lyla and both boys picked her this flower.

Mason and I were picking the day we would guess that Lyla would arrive...just to see who wins of course! Masons pick is September 28th and mine is October 1st...Or just the first week of October. We will see if either of us is even close! I already love fall so much and waiting on her arrival makes this year so much better!

A quick pic of our freshly laid lawn..(all the rock on the left is one of our drainage beds to re route the water around the house):

That little boy is sooo happy when he is free to be running around. Almost there!

Pregnancy tracker: Week 31

Here is a 31 week shot of the belly this time around!

And here is a comparison pic from 31 weeks preggo with Breyton...

Size of baby: Pineapple.

Total Weight gain: 18.5 lbs

Maternity Clothes: Pretty much wearing all stretchy waste bands..as in a lot of skirts and comfy shorts!

Stretch marks: Had one show up on my boob this week:/ Never got any with Breyton...Guess I can't complain though wont be too noticeable.

Sleep: baby D has been teething all week! He has been up every night sometimes for 2 hrs:( I have been so tired all week! His 5th tooth finally broke through and I can see the 6th is about to.  Ready for more than 5-6 hrs of broken sleep.....keep wishing right;)

Food cravings: Fruit, pizza, pancakes.

Symptoms: Ok this is the week I've officially started feeling kinda miserable. I thought I had a few more weeks to go..seems liked it kicked in about 34 weeks with Breyton. Probably chasing two kiddos around-along with million other things- is contributing to the early start. Been having Braxton Hicks(practice contractions) as well!

Best moment this week: Seems like we kept getting bad news this week..not about Lyla!! Just delays with house and drama with dhs and baby D. However, still thankful for so much...and I'm just another week closer to having my daughter here:))

Gender: Girl

Movement: I can definitely tell she is growing! To the point where I can tell there is distinctly her bum sticking out or a knee/elbow during her acrobatics.

What I miss: I really really do love being pregnant and have enjoyed this pregnancy...but I think the 'I miss being skinny or normal' lol has been strong this week. Getting limited on clothing options, stomach feels soo stretched, back pain beginning to worsen. I know wah wah.

Oddly enough I say this now bc I swear a few months after I'm back to the old me I'll talk about how I miss being pregnant. Just one of those things!!!

What I'm looking forward to: When we ever get to move!!! I desperately want a yard again for the boys...even with having a pool we have cabin fever.

Livin on love:)

As we've had this opportunity to build our dream home and approach moving in I've been reminiscing on our humble beginnings:) and just looking back at the building, trailer, home, and apartment that got us here.

Mason and I got married at the ripe old age of 19. Therefore we had a lot of love, but little money and no credit. Whenever your that crazy in love no one is going to convince you waiting would be better. I can thankfully say 6 years in I wouldn't have waited, but maybe got married sooner if possible:)

We ended up fixing up two back rooms in an old building in Shawnee. Yes, a building not a home or apartment. Just an ugly building that was right off a Main Street. How did this building become an option? My mom has owned a consignment boutique in Shawnee for over 10 years and this building happened to be owned by her leaser and had been vacant for a long time.

Except for all the mice that inhabitated it.

We had planned for me to open and run an extension of my moms store next door when we first moved in, but life happened:)

We had two small rooms in the back and no kitchen, no washer/dryer, and no shower at first. We had to drive out to our parents or to a friends home who lived nearby each evening to shower for the first 6 weeks until my dad installed a small one. I had a  2ft by 3ft area with a small sink, hot plate, and toaster oven to cook with. You would be surprised how much you can cook with just those options:) I carried our dishes in a tub next door to wash in my mom's building which had a kitchen nook. I still remember we were woke up one night by a loud shrieking which turned out to be a baby mouse that had been caught in a trap. If you know me then this was one of the saddest sights ever...I think we had to remove all traps because I was scarred by seeing this poor mouse suffering:/ We managed all this for 8 months before it was time to move!

Wish I could say we really moved on up at that point and at the time it sort of felt like we had. Our 'new to us' abode actually had a kitchen and full bathroom.

For the next 1.5 years we lived in an old deserted trailer home that belonged to my granny and it was from the 70s. It was full to the brim of junk/storage. Therefore we started the process of clearing it out and remodeling some. Pulling out nasty orange shag carpet and vinyl flooring to replace it with new flooring and cleaning the nasty mess the trailer had become from sitting so long and yes more mice...cleaning mouse poop off every surface and eliminating them before moving in this time...yuck.

Finally got the place clean although we were surrounded by floor to ceiling wood paneling the place was liveable:) Where the floor met the wall you could actually see slivers of daylight come through cracks. No joke.

I still had no oven because the old one in there didn't work, but the stove top did! We gratefully had hand me down washer/dryer that shook the whole trailer every time you did laundry.

Not to mention all of our very classy neighbors. Including finding out our direct next door neighbor was a registered sex offender. Many of friends can remember some 'trailer trash bashes' (as was fitting to call them) hosted at that place:)

Turns out you don't take many pics of your living space when it's just a building or trailer. I have this one pic of all the lovely paneling in the trailer after we got new carpet put in. Fancy huh?

In the time we lived there I became pregnant and Mason applied for Edmond PD. An officer from Edmond PD even came to do Masons 'home visit' while living in this trailer. Really surprised he made it past that point in the hiring process haha! We had a lot of laughs in that place though!

Just a few weeks before my due date Mason found out he got the job! 2 weeks after he started police academy Breyton made his entrance into the world while we were under contract for our first real house. When Breyton was 5 weeks old we made the move from Shawnee to Edmond. And yes that means Breyton was born into the world as trailer trash. Luckily he has no recollection of those first few weeks of life:)

Our first home was an amazing blessing and a gorgeous step up from previous abodes. Everything, beautiful, fully functional, and most importantly no mice! I will never forget the memories made in that house where we watched B grow up in for his first 3 years.

Saying good bye to our first home!

One thing about making the sacrifices to live where we did is we had all that time to save up quite a bit of money to put forward to our home.

Out of nowhere God led us to an opportunity for Mason to do security for some nice apartments and in a matter less than two weeks went from having no plans to sell our house/move to putting our home on the market and immediately having to move into the apartments. Our home sold quickly and the apartments have been nice while they've lasted! We planned to live in the apartments for close to 2 years at least before beginning to build. Then we got baby D and I became pregnant again:) We made it close to one year here haha since we very quickly are outgrowing the apartment life.

Here we are 11 months later and less than two weeks out from moving to our dream home. I wouldn't change a thing about where we started to where we are. I mean I probably wouldn't be near as grateful for this future home without some pretty humble beginnings. I can't wait to spend (hopefully) the next 20 years not moving again and raising our children in our new home!
